Biography
Vocal harmonies that delight and acoustic melodies full of hooks define the joint musical output from Mizzy and Casey Wiggins. Sing Out! characterized their style with the words "similar to Lucinda Williams, or the Indigo Girls, and, then, you'll be thinking Buffy Sainte Marie or Michelle Shocked," while www.villagerecords.com labeled the pair "the female counterpoint to the Everly Brothers." The Wiggins Sisters first pursued independent paths in Austin and Los Angeles, but an attraction between them endured. Their collaboration began in 1996 and soon attracted dedicated supporters. Over 50,000 units moved from their debut effort, which they produced themselves. Minnesota came next in 1999 as their sophomore album under the production of Lloyd Maines.
