Biography
Will Paquin crafts percussive indie pop through elaborate, precisely executed guitar lines paired with emotive tunes and a homemade production sheen. Having grown up in Boston, the vocalist and composer achieved prominence during 2020 after footage of his first release "Chandelier" spread rapidly across online platforms. Settling in Los Angeles, he issued further tracks in the following years, culminating in his own-named 2024 EP.
The unique blend in his picking technique drew influence from Brazilian composer Luiz Bonfa along with jazz players Wes Montgomery and Kenny Burrell, as well as traditions from folk and classical realms. Merging these elements into a self-made bedroom pop style, his output started appearing in 2020 and achieved immediate online attention thanks to "Chandelier." Its elaborate guitar work and catchy tunes helped build an audience that he expanded via additional songs such as "Now You Know," "Satellite," and "Circles." Over time, Paquin's singing became gentler while his compositions gained greater subtlety, notably evident in "Mando" from June 2024, which led his five-track self-titled EP.
