Biography
Hailing from California, Wolves in Argyle operate as a dark punk and progressive hard rock band built around singer/guitarist Dave Holmes. The ensemble came together in 2013 and includes guitarist Josh Phillips, a veteran of numerous punk projects, bassist Joe Garcia, and drummer Steve Moriarty. Holmes, who was born in Stockton, was immersed in music from childhood as the son of a bassist and the great-grandson of one of the founding members of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys. Throughout his teenage years he played bass with multiple punk groups across Northern California. He later moved to guitar and fronted several bands of his own before forming Wolves in Argyle. Their debut single, "Northern Lies," appeared in 2016.
