Woven

In 2001 the ambient rock band Woven assembled in Los Angeles around core members Steve Abagon, Rich Abagon, Marc Viner, and Ory Hodis. Positive notices greeted their first EP, EPrime, whose sound prompted critics to cite influences ranging from the Flaming Lips to Pink Floyd and Aphex Twin. The quartet’s characteristic mix of art rock, trip-hop, and electronica emerged even more clearly on the full-length Interscope debut 8 Bit Monk. Their second album, Designer Codes, followed in 2008.
