Formed in Canada toward the end of the 1970s, the rock band Wrabit assembled a lineup that placed Lou Nadeau on lead vocals, Les Paulhus on keyboards, David Alpin and John Albani on guitars, Scott Jefferson Steck and Gary Craigh on drums, and Chris Brockway on bass. Their style has drawn parallels to the work of Eric Burdon and Kim Carnes.

The group secured a contract with MCA Records, which issued their self-titled debut album in 1979. A second album, Tracks, appeared the next year. Wrough & Wready arrived in 1981, and West Side Kid followed in 1983 as the band’s final original full-length release.

Most of the catalog received reissues on MCA Records in both 1997 and 1998. Representative tracks include “Best of Love,” “Waiting,” “Hold on to Me,” “Piece of the Action,” “Young Girl,” “Say Lady Say,” and “Lin.”
