Xasthur

Vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Malefic ranks among America's most productive and reclusive underground metal artists, having issued half a dozen recordings since 1995 under the Xasthur nom de plume. Working almost entirely without external assistance, he has focused chiefly on the atmospheric black metal style also pursued by acts such as Azrael and Judas Iscariot, releasing material that encompasses 2001's A Gate Through Bloodstained Mirrors, 2002's Nocturnal Poisoning, 2003's Suicide in Dark Serenity, and The Funeral of Being.
