Biography
Since the late 1980s Yamamoto Seiichi has maintained a sustained presence within Osaka’s underground music community, functioning not solely as a performer but also as operator of the club Bears and director of his independent label. Beyond establishing Omoide Hatoba, he has sustained extended tenures with ROVO and the Boredoms at their most abrasive extreme while also appearing alongside pop-leaning outfits such as Shonen Knife and the Playmates. Continually engaged across numerous simultaneous undertakings, Seiichi has maintained a parallel output of solo albums beginning in the mid-’90s.
