Yuki Isoya, born February 17, 1972, in Hakodate, Japan, previously served as frontwoman and lead vocalist for the J-rock band Judy & Mary. This multimedia figure has built a wide-ranging career that extends well beyond her solo pop work, encompassing roles as a fashion trendsetter, brand spokesperson, and radio personality. After the breakup of her earlier group, she issued her first solo album, Prismic, in March 2002. The follow-up releases Commune (2003), Joy (2005), and Wave (2006) all performed strongly, and in 2007 she delivered the greatest-hits set Five Star. Additional projects include vocal contributions with Mean Machine and membership in NiNa alongside Kate Pierson of the B-52's.
