Biography
Yume Bitsu, the space rock quartet based in Portland, OR, features guitarist/vocalist Adam Forkner alongside guitarist Franz Prichard, keyboardist Alex Bundy, and drummer Jason Anderson, who also leads the indie rock band Wolf Colonel. The group’s Japanese name translates as “dream beats,” and its recordings fuse deep, droning compositions with the occasional psych pop song, as heard on the self-titled debut and Giant Surface Music Falling to Earth Like Jewels From the Sky, both issued by Ba Da Bing! Records. Auspicious Winds, which references the Japanese High Tea ceremony, arrived on K Records in 2000. Giant Surface Music Falling to Earth Like Jewels From the Sky followed in spring 2001, with Golden Vessyl of Sound appearing in spring 2002.
