Yuna Ito

Yuna Ito, born in the United States, first drew widespread attention as a J-pop singer and actress by securing the role of Reira in the live-action film adaptation of the manga Nana after passing an audition, while also recording the picture’s theme song “Endless Story.” Both the movie and the single enjoyed major success across Japan, prompting her to issue a follow-up single titled “Faith” in 2006 under her given name. Although that release failed to replicate the impact of her debut effort, she was again cast as Reira for the sequel film Nana II. The new track tied to that production likewise performed strongly. Her debut album Heart appeared in 2007, entering at number one on the daily charts before ascending to the top position on the weekly tally. In January 2008 she delivered the single “A World to Believe In,” which incorporated a duet with Celine Dion.
