Biography
In 1996 jazz saxophonist Yuri Honing released Star Tracks, a collection of covers drawn from modern pop repertoire. Sequel appeared three years afterward and adhered to the same approach. Phase Five, a Verve release, entered the Top 100 Dutch album charts for him in 2009, its new compositions built by dance producer Floris Klinkert from samples of Honing’s saxophone.
