Biography
Mentors from Vancouver, British Columbia's Moist encouraged Yve Adam to establish Mollies Revenge toward the close of 1994. Roughly three weeks following their first rehearsal in January 1995, the ensemble supported Moist before an audience numbering 3,000, an experience that could unsettle almost any group. Nevertheless, the performers endured that performance and emerged as one of Vancouver's favored club attractions. Three Canadian tours alongside Moist followed, drawing audiences up to 5,000 in size. Every Dirty Word marked their debut album upon its 1997 release. The band dissolved the next year, yet following a period of inactivity Yve and bandmate Adam chose to persist as a duo. Their song "Don't" featured on the Message in a Bottle film soundtrack, providing their American breakthrough. Fiction served as their initial full-length release through 143/Atlantic Records in 2000.
