Biography
Zac Maloy joined forces with fellow musicians from Oklahoma City to launch the Nixons, securing early commercial traction. Their 1995 album Foma neared gold certification through strong sales, while the lead single "Sister" received widespread national radio exposure. The band’s following three releases never matched that market performance, the last of which was Latest Thing, issued in spring 2000. Loyal listeners nevertheless valued the Nixons for crafting solid songs and sustaining an unceasing tour regimen. Zac Maloy has since stepped forward alone, delivering his debut solo album Life in fall 2001. He worked alongside bassist Ricky Wolking, also an ex-Nixons member, plus Ray Luzier and Tim Locke to complete the project for Buddy Records.
