Zach Seabaugh, an American country singer from Marietta, Georgia, first reached a national audience by advancing to the semifinals of The Voice during its ninth season. Growing up immersed in country music, he began playing guitar at age five and later joined his school’s chorus and musical theater programs. His voice combined a polished, theater-ready clarity with a deep, resonant country drawl, and at just 16 he earned a spot on Blake Shelton’s team after a successful blind audition. During the competition Seabaugh’s rendition of Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” climbed into the Top Five of the Billboard Country Digital Songs chart. The season aired in fall 2015, after which he released his self-titled EP in 2016 on Open Roads Highway; propelled by the upbeat single “Nothing Good Happens After Midnight,” the project appeared on the Top Country Albums chart.
