Zallen

Hailing from Los Angeles, the singer-songwriter Mike Jones launched his artistic path by adopting the name Zallen, under which he combined visual art with musical performance. From the time he turned fifteen, Jones appeared with multiple well-regarded bands in the region and contributed vocals to a formative lineup of the 1980s pop group Berlin. An independent recording he produced and co-wrote as Bozart attracted notice from several indie labels and producers, prompting him to leverage his rising profile in support of his own solo material. Upon joining the MP3.com platform in the late 1990s, he issued a continuous succession of tracks and albums via the service across the ensuing decade.
