Biography
Zero to Hero carve out their distinct place in today’s punk rock landscape by unleashing pulses rooted in punk while blending them with unrestrained heavy rock riffs. The band formed in Salt Lake City, UT, in 1998 as a three-piece consisting of guitarist-vocalist Mike, bassist Jay, and drummer Connor. Founding members Mike and Connor first connected during high school, after which they pursued multiple shared musical projects that pointed toward the punk-revival direction the group would later adopt. Bassist Jay completed the lineup, enabling Zero to Hero to begin performing throughout Salt Lake City’s club circuit. Several months later the trio entered the studio to capture its debut release, the eight-song EP The Talent Show Rejects, which appeared in stores in 2001.
