Biography
Zinzzero, a five-piece Mexican ensemble whose name derives from the Spanish term "sincero," secured a contract with Sony Discos following an introduction to Intenso's manager Fermín Limon. Operating from Alamo, TX, the group launched its recording career in 1998 via a self-titled debut that included covers of Joan Sebastían's "Tatuajes" and Cornelio Reyna's "Tengo Miedo." April 2000 brought the follow-up release Un Amor Prohibido, which spotlighted the track "¿Por Qué Te Vas?" penned by Carlos Gutiérrez. The ensemble's fusion of contemporary production with traditional Mexican rhythms resurfaced on the 2001 album Al Pensar en Ti and again on 2002's Para la Historia.
