Biography
Nigerian-British vocalist Zion crafts polished, elegant R&B material shaped by Afro-beat, trap, and drill. His arrival came through the yearning yet boisterous single “No Wahala” in 2018, which led directly to the compact collection Her, Her & You the next year.
The South London native first surfaced that same year with “No Wahala,” constructed around a sample of “1er Gaou,” the early-2000s hit by Ivory Coast-based group Magic System. Once the track and its video drew notice from outlets including OkayAfrica, the 19-year-old singer/songwriter issued the follow-up singles “Friendzone” and “The Point.” Those initial releases, supplemented by further recordings, were assembled as 2019’s Her, Her & You under the production of the Fanatix.
