Biography
Zyrah's Orange came together at the start of 1995, initially featuring Doug Dineen on drums along with Elliot Page on guitar and Ben Thibault on bass. Dan Gullotti stepped in as drummer shortly after Dineen's exit. The three members rotate lead vocal duties while drawing on deep familiarity with jazz and Caribbean music traditions. Throughout the mid-'90s they devoted themselves to nonstop performances in Boston, MA, and the surrounding region, which led to the June 1999 release of their debut full-length album MIND. Encouraging reactions from music critics, college radio outlets, and audiences prompted the band to issue Body in October 2000.
