London's Frederick Webb, recording as 1991, crafts polished, forward-looking drum'n'bass pieces that frequently layer wistful vocals over luminous melodies and propulsive beats. Significant backing has come his way from both the drum'n'bass community and the wider EDM world, evidenced by releases on Chase & Status' MTA Records, Skrillex's Nest imprint, and additional labels. Remixes of tracks by Chris Lake and Axwell appear in his credits, together with co-productions undertaken with Netsky and Sub Focus.

A handful of tracks and remixes emerged under the Koncept name in the early 2010s, yet Webb had adopted the 1991 alias by 2016. He joined Chase & Status for numerous live dates and issued the Dim Sum EP along with two further singles on MTA Records. The single "Heartstrings" arrived in 2017 via the Nest imprint. He also delivered the Lunar EP and supplied remixes for Chris Lake and Camo & Krooked that featured on RAM Records' 25th anniversary compilation. With vocal elements continuing to gain prominence, the 2018 single "The Epiphany" included singer/songwriter Matt Wilson. Additional singles followed across 2019 and 2020, among them "Midnight," "Full Send," and "The People."
