Florida's 408 have built a reputation around their fervent and wide-ranging style of melodic pop-punk shaped by 2000s influences, while also folding in emo, EDM, and hip-hop textures. The band issued their first full-length album, Out of It, in 2022.

Originating from Orlando, 408 formed in 2017 with Mark Faroudi handling lead vocals and bass. Taking cues from Green Day and blink-182, they put out their initial EP that year, Mrs. Lemon Squeezer. Additional EPs arrived afterward, among them Oops, What Are You Chewing, and Keri; the last of these involved producer Andrew Wade, who later guided the sessions for the group's 2022 debut album Out of It. That record contained the song "Backfired," which featured singer Taylor Acorn.
