Biography
Born on July 1, 1986, in Indonesia, Agnes Monica—full name Agnes Monica Muljoto—rose to prominence as a pop vocalist while simultaneously building a strong reputation as an actress through multiple hit television dramas. Her breakthrough arrived with the 2002 series Pernikahan Dini, which secured four honors at the Panasonic Awards that year and directly prompted a recording contract. The resulting debut album, And the Story Goes, appeared in 2003; the same year also brought a Best Actress Award for her role in the series Indah. Agnes Monica followed with her second studio effort, Whaddup, A', in 2005, an release that coincided with continued television achievements and included a featured turn from American singer Keith Martin. Two tracks from the project reached number one on the domestic charts, and after additional acting roles plus further accolades she unveiled her third album, Sacredly Agnezious, in 2008.
