Albert Bouchard

Albert Bouchard, whose drumming anchored an extensive career in music, joined Blue Öyster Cult as a founding member in its earliest days. He exited the band in 1981 hoping to focus on solo work, yet label intervention redirected the sessions he had begun, resulting in the Blue Öyster Cult album Imaginos. Only after that project did he achieve a permanent split, lending his skills to Helen Wheels, the Mamas and the Papas, Peter Noone, and Spencer Davis across subsequent years. In 1994 Bouchard launched Brain Surgeons, which produced five albums, and he also appeared on an X-Brothers recording with his brother Joe.
