Alcoholic Faith Mission

Alcoholic Faith Mission, the indie rock ensemble tracing its origins from Denmark to Brooklyn, produces experimental yet melodic fusions of folk and avant pop. Vocalist/guitarist Thorben Seierø Jensen and bassist Sune Sølund launched the project in 2006 during their Brooklyn residency, beginning with a lo-fi pop approach. Their debut that year, Misery Loves Company, emerged largely as bedroom pop captured on a laptop. The pair later enlarged the roster with vocalist/keyboardist Kristine Permild, drummer Morten Hyldahl, trombonist/guitarist Gustav Rasmussen, and keyboardist/accordionist Anders Hjort. The expanded lineup delivered its second album, 421 Wythe Avenue, in 2009, then followed a year later with Let This Be the Last Night We Care. In 2012 Alcoholic Faith Mission issued its fourth studio album, Ask Me This, via Old Flame Records.
