Biography
Formed during the 1970s, American Flyer operated as a folk-rock quartet whose members had all come from earlier bands, with Craig Fuller arriving from Pure Prairie League, Eric Kaz having played in Blues Magoos, Steve Katz bringing experience from Blood, Sweat & Tears, and Doug Yule having performed with the Velvet Underground. The group reached the charts via two albums released by United Artists in the middle of the decade.
