Anand Bhatt

Based in Chicago, multi-instrumentalist Anand Bhatt blends the classical traditions of Indian music with an array of contemporary styles. He first built acclaim as a jazz sitar player before extending his reach into multiple strands of electrified modern music. Those efforts include hardcore tribal music performed with Anand Clique, aggressive industrial music delivered through Project 44, and improvisational work in the duo A&A, which he maintains with Anand Clique guitarist Ryba. Additional partnerships feature a collaboration with Faith No More guitarist Jim Marshall, an early influence.
