Biography
In the 1970s André Geraissati entered the profession by accompanying Roberto Carlos, Ronnie Von, and Os Mutantes. Between 1978 and 1988 he formed Trio D'Alma alongside Rui Saleme and Ulisses Rocha, a group of virtuosic, jazz-influenced violonistas. He contributed significantly to several albums by Egberto Gismonti and appeared with him on a release in the Brasil Musical/Música Viva series in 1996. Geraissati opened his solo discography in 1982 with Entre Duas Palavras and followed it with Insight in 1986, Solo in 1987, Dagdad in 1988, 7989 in 1989, and Next in 1999.
