Biography
Following her graduation in 1984 from the National College of Operatic Art in Stockholm, Swedish mezzo-soprano Ann Hallenberg studied under the guidance of Kerstin Meyer, Erik Sædén, and Joy Mammen. She has since appeared at principal opera houses throughout Europe and taken part in festivals as well as concert programs across Europe and the United States. Working under conductors that include Fabio Biondi, Ivor Bolton, Frans Brüggen, William Christie, John Eliot Gardiner, Roy Goodman, Riccardo Muti, Jonathan Nott, Marc Minkowski, Christophe Rousset, and additional colleagues, she has performed operas by Vivaldi, Handel, Gluck, Mozart, and Rossini. Her recordings have appeared on Aparte, Glossa, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Naïve, and further labels.
