Art van Damme

Van Damme, widely acknowledged as a jazz accordion master, moves well beyond the conventional boundaries of smooth or overly sentimental playing on his instrument. He emerged as a key innovator within the post-bop developments of the 1960s, a contribution that has earned him recognition from Michael G. Nastos as an unsung hero.
