Biography

Originating from the San Francisco Bay Area, Askari X has earned considerable recognition as a rapper. The contentious track "Ward of the State," issued during his incarceration, produced an immediate and substantial impact. His intense style favors uncompromising black-power themes that incorporate Islamic elements and allow for violence when necessary. Collaborations include Dead Prez as well as Tajai from the Hieroglyphics.
