Biography
Originating from Brooklyn, the rapper B.B. Jay first drew notice through his self-released opening track “Pentecostal Poppa,” which earned rotation on BET and alerted Jive Records to his presence. He soon secured a contract with the imprint, resulting in the arrival of his opening album Universal Concussion during the middle of 2000. Jay further contributed to the remix of Hezekiah Walker’s “Let's Dance,” a move that once more underscored his forceful yet ultimately encouraging approach.
