Biography
Beasto Blanco sprang from the vision of Chuck Garric, the veteran Alice Cooper bassist, who drew inspiration from the ferocious, Sunset Strip-meets-apocalyptic-wasteland style of White Zombie, Monster Magnet, and Motörhead. The group came together in 2012 and soon added guitarist Chris Latham, bassist Jan LeGrow, drummer Tim Husung, and co-vocalist Calico Cooper, daughter of Alice Cooper. Its first release, the fittingly titled Live Fast Die Loud, arrived in 2013 and earned praise from Johnny Depp, legendary producer Bob Ezrin, and Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain. Two years later the self-titled follow-up appeared on Rat Pak Records, featuring a blazing rendition of the Cooper staple “Feed My Frankenstein.” The Ryan Greene-produced We Are surfaced in 2019 as the band’s third studio album.
