Murderdolls

Joey Jordison, Slipknot's drummer who took up guitar for the occasion, teamed with Static-X guitarist Tripp Eisen to launch Murderdolls. The project blended rap-metal's heavy pulse with hardcore punk's raw drive after the pair shared bills on the 1999 Ozzfest tour. Vocalist Wednesday 13, bassist Eric Griffin, and drummer Ben Graves joined the lineup, enabling the group to record and issue Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls in 2002. Domestic sales remained modest while the album reached charts in the U.K. and Japan, yet the band slipped into indefinite hiatus by 2004. They resurfaced in 2010 without Griffin or Graves and delivered their second studio album, Women and Children Last, which included guest guitar parts on two tracks by Mötley Crüe's Mick Mars. Guitarist Joey Jordison died on July 26, 2021 at the age of 46.
