Biography
Mindless Self Indulgence, the New York City punk/industrial/hip-hop outfit, introduced their exaggerated sonic style through the 1999 album Tight while their similarly flamboyant stage presence earned support slots on tours alongside Rammstein and Insane Clown Posse. Building on that momentum, the ensemble delivered The Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy in 2000 and the live set Alienating Our Audience: Live in 2002. Their 2005 album You'll Rebel to Anything arrived after signing with the industrial imprint Metropolis and was released in three separate editions, each carrying distinct bonus tracks and artwork. The 2008 project If marked a move to the heavy metal-oriented label the End. Crowdfunding supported the 2013 release of How I Learned to Stop Giving a Shit and Love Mindless Self Indulgence via their own imprint Uppity Cracker. The 2015 archival collection Pink gathered demos recorded between 1990 and 1997 and featured covers of Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" together with Duran Duran's "Girls on Film."
