Biography
Formed in Cape Coral, Florida, Twisted Method emerged as a youthful nu-metal ensemble featuring vocalist Derek Tibbett, guitarist Andy Howard, bassist Derek DeSantis, and drummer Ben Goins. The group gradually cultivated a regional audience through its markedly imitative style until an opportunity opening for a fellow up-and-coming performer attracted the attention of a local promoter, who arranged several label showcases for the young musicians. According to accounts, MCA inked a deal with the band purely based on their energetic performances, bypassing any requirement for a demo recording. In July 2003, the label released the band's first album, Escape From Cape Coma, dispatching them on a series of second-stage appearances at Ozzfest to promote it.
