Bluey, a six-year-old anthropomorphic Blue Heeler puppy, headlines the Australian preschool animated series that carries her name. The award-winning show, centered on friendship, family, and Australian culture, debuted in 2018, rapidly establishing itself as a domestic success before reaching wider audiences through its international rollout. Classical staples appear regularly alongside original compositions by Joff Bush and David Barber, among them the widely recognized theme song. Bluey: The Album arrived in 2021 and entered the ARIA Albums Chart at number one, marking the first time a children’s record achieved that position while also gaining traction abroad. Drawing its title from a fan-favorite episode of the second season, the follow-up Dance Mode surfaced in 2023 and blended a pronounced ’90s electronic aesthetic with excursions into folk, power pop, and doo wop.
