Biography
Brad Davis, a guitarist specializing in country acoustics, joined Marty Stuart's touring ensemble during the closing years of the 1980s and contributed to several of Stuart's recordings such as This One's Gonna Hurt You, Hit Pack, and The Pilgrim. Additional collaborations saw him supporting or performing alongside Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Pam Tillis, the Forester Sisters, and the Sweethearts of the Rodeo. Entering the 2000s, his schedule split between lead guitar duties with Earl Scruggs & Friends and providing accompaniment for Billy Bob Thornton. Davis issued his first independent record, I'm Not Gonna Let My Blues Bring Me Down, through FGM Records in January 2003, drawing assistance from numerous associates from prior projects. He subsequently embarked on a tour in the role of primary guitarist for the Sam Bush Band.
