Biography
At the age of ten, Brenda Weiler first developed a passion for music after hearing Tracy Chapman and Paul Simon. She soon took up the guitar and began sharing her own style of sentimental folk with audiences in her hometown of Moorhead, Minnesota, while still enrolled in high school. Themes of personal relationships and self-identity shaped her songwriting, which she documented on the 1997 debut album Trickle Down. Two years of nonstop touring came next, culminating in the arrival of her follow-up release, Crazy Happy, in 1999.
