Biography
Bruce Robison, a singer and songwriter based in Austin, Texas, put out his first album under his own name during 1995. Additional attention came his way through appearances on various compilation releases, such as the 1995 set Austin Country Nights: Rising Stars from the Heart of Texas along with True Sounds of the New West. Wrapped, another full-length project, came out that same year, while his second album, Long Way Home from Anywhere, arrived in 1999. For Country Sunshine in 2001, he moved over to the Boar's Nest label, where his spouse Kelly Willis received joint credit. Together they recorded the holiday album Happy Holidays during 2006, the same period when he issued his solo Eleven Stories, before signing to Premium in 2007 to release It Came from San Antonio. Remaining with the label throughout the following ten years, he put out The New World in 2008 as well as a pair of collaborative efforts with Willis, Cheater's Game and Our Year, in 2013 and 2014 respectively. In 2017, he assembled the Back Porch Band to create the album Bruce Robison & the Back Porch Band.
