Longstanding duo performances with her older sister Julie have defined much of French violinist and cellist Camille Berthollet’s work, while her advocacy on behalf of sexual assault and harassment survivors has also marked her presence in the classical sphere. Annecy, France, was the site of her 1999 birth; fascination with the cello took hold by age three. Cello study began at four, violin lessons followed at eight, and 2009 brought enrollment in the Musimax program at the Geneva Conservatorium. Augustin Lefebvre guided her training at the Lyon Conservatorium from 2011 to 2013, after which undergraduate work with François Guye commenced at the Geneva University of Music.

First-place results arrived between 2010 and 2014 in the Vattelot-Rampal Competition, the Swiss Youth Competition for Music, and the Popper Competition in Paris. National visibility surged in 2014 when she claimed the televised Prodiges youth talent contest, prompting a Warner Classics contract and the 2015 release Prodigies: Camille, recorded with Guillaume Vincent, the Auvergne Orchestra, and Gautier Capuçon. Later albums comprised Camille & Julie Berthollet in 2016, #3 in 2017, and Entre 2 in 2018. Guest solo appearances with major orchestras have accompanied her recording activity, which continued into the 2020s with Series and Dans nos yeux.
