Biography
Carrie Lucas, a vocalist from Los Angeles, possessed a light and feathery voice that appeared on multiple Solar singles throughout the 1980s. Prior to her association with the label, she served as a background singer for the Whispers and maintained a romantic relationship with Dick Griffey, who led Solar Records. Throughout her time at Solar and Constellation, Lucas failed to achieve any major breakthrough successes, though she came nearest with a 1985 R&B chart entry at position number 20, which was her rendition of Barbara Lewis' track "Hello Stranger." This recording reunited her with the Whispers from her earlier days.
