Carsten Dahl

Danish jazz musician Carsten Dahl launched his professional path playing drums and studied under master percussionist Ed Thigpen at Copenhagen's Rhythmic Conservatory prior to moving over to piano. Once established at the keyboard, he appeared alongside Thigpen on the 1998 release That's Entertainment while leading his own ensemble on the same year's Will You Make My Soup Hot & Silver. The following year brought Message From Bud, after which Dahl resurfaced in mid-2000 with Butterfly Dream. A year later the Carsten Dahl Jazzpar 2000 Quintet reached listeners.
