Cindy Kallet

Cindy Kallet performs as a vocalist, composer, and guitarist, shaping her material around a deep attachment to the New England shoreline. She handles the instrument with notable skill and draws on an array of approaches that encompass folk, fiddle tunes, traditional pieces, and sea chanties. Her vocal delivery carries a smooth, deep character that recalls Joni Mitchell. Because she stops short of letting her profession dominate her life, she has stayed less widely recognized than her gifts would indicate.
