Biography
Born in Jamaica and raised in Toronto, Claudja Barry first built a stage career that featured roles in Hair and Catch My Soul before turning to disco singing in the late 1970s and 1980s. Her greatest success came in 1979 with the hit single “Boogie Woogie Dancin’ Shoes.”
