The trio’s appellation is formed by selecting letters from the names of Collin Walcott, Don Cherry, and Nana Vasconcelos. Their music fuses improvisational approaches across cultures, drawing chiefly on Walcott’s deep engagement with Eastern Indian rhythms and Vasconcelos’s Brazilian background.
