Biography
The five members of Craw spent their formative years in Cleveland, OH air-guitaring to Sabbath before forming the band with actual instruments in 1987. Several years of regional shows across Ohio and a handful of demos preceded the 1994 release of their self-titled debut album and the subsequent Lost Nation Road album, both recorded with production assistance from Steve Albini. Founding Cambodia Recordings in 1996 allowed the group to adopt the "do it yourself" approach and issue Map Monitor Surge independently the next year.
