Dara Rolins

Born on December 7, 1972, in Bratislava, Darina Rolincová, who performs as Dara Rolins and has also been credited as Darinka Rolincová, rose to prominence as a widely admired Slovakian artist working in dance and pop. She captured the Golden Nightingale poll in 1982. Her opening maxi-CD single, "Our Lovin'," appeared in 1996 and was soon followed by the album Dream of Love, allowing her to develop an audience throughout Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The next studio album, What's My Name, surfaced in 2002. Rolins issued D1 in 2006; its companion piece, D2, arrived two years later as a remix collection. The same year brought the birth of her daughter, yet she sustained promotional efforts for the project, which climbed to number three on the Czech album charts.
