Biography
Alexandra Sauser-Monnig, an indie folk singer and songwriter, crafts reflective and relaxed compositions marked equally by melancholy and optimism. Having previously belonged to the folk trio Mountain Man, she withdrew from musical activities for nearly ten years following the ensemble’s pause. In time her urge to compose resurfaced, leading her to pursue an individual project. Work on her first album commenced in 2017, yet progress halted when Mountain Man reconvened the next year. Ultimately issued in 2019, the record Dawnbreaker delved into the prospect of a relationship’s end.
