Biography
The London quartet daydreamers produces wistful anthems that balance hope against heartbreak, a contrast they summarize as "sad euphoria." Their shimmering indie pop first captured wide attention through the 2024 debut single "Call Me Up," while the same year's "Beach House" and "All I Dream About" demonstrated a talent for matching everyday emotions to nostalgic soundscapes.
Vocalist and guitarist Riley began teaching himself music production during his childhood in Southampton, drawing early influence from John Mayer and Radiohead. Later, while enrolled at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, he refined his abilities as a singer, songwriter, and performer working alone. In the early 2020s he encountered bassist Aurora, guitarist Marco, and drummer Jay through a shared acquaintance; their informal sessions quickly generated material shaped by U2, Fleetwood Mac, Blur, Oasis, and Harry Styles.
daydreamers issued their first single, "Call Me Up," in April 2024. The song rapidly spread across social platforms and streaming outlets, accumulating millions of plays and securing contracts with Robots + Humans in the U.K. and Epic in the U.S. After supporting Pale Waves and headlining their own shows, the band returned with "Beach House" in May and "All I Dream About" in July, then entered festival season.
