Biography
An instrumental endeavor called Death Ambient unites innovative improvisers guitarist Fred Frith, bassist Kato Hideki, and downtown figure Ikue Mori on drum machines. Issued on John Zorn’s Tzadik label, their 1995 self-titled debut was succeeded four years later by the follow-up album Synaesthesia, also released through Tzadik. Eight years after that recording the trio reconvened, enlisting guest percussionist Jim Pugliese, to complete their third album, Drunken Forest.
